Prices still go by the door. The Price Marking (Food and Drink Services) Order 2003 says prices must be shown at or near the entrance, so people see them before they come in. A table card adds to that. It does not replace it.
Allergens can sit behind the QR. The Food Information Regulations 2014 let you give allergen information by any means. If staff give it out loud, a notice or menu must tell guests to ask. Since March 2025 the FSA advises written allergen information, backed by a conversation. A GustoQR menu shows the 14 allergens on every dish.
Chains with 250+ staff in England must show kcal per portion on every menu, QR and online menus included, plus portion sizes and the line “adults need around 2000 kcal a day”. GustoQR has kcal and portion size on each dish, and the 2000 kcal line goes in the note under the menu, translated and printed too.

Menu & allergens: scan or ask staff. It fits the short line and tells guests where the information is.
